The Chandler Gators took second place in the sophomore division of a tournment held at Winchester Park recently. Courtesy Photo BMC Spring Blast weekend No. 3 had five senior midget teams playing along with five sophomore teams at Winchester Park.

The senior midget championship game had the Chandler Yankees playing the Jacksonville Streak. The Yankees played a very close game until they had one bad inning and Jacksonville took advantage of the mistakes. Jacksonville took first place leaving second to the Chandler Yankees.

The senior midget third place game was between the out-of-town Eustace Strong Dogs and Jackson- ville Streak but, in the end, Jacksonville won a very close game.

In the sophomore division, the local squads got a chance to see the competition ofthe future.

Out-of-town Jacksonville was able to pick up a couple of wins but not enough to put them in the championship game. The championship game had the Chandler Red Storm taking on the Chandler Gators. The Storm had beat the Gators by one run the day before but won the championship game by three.. Both the Gators and Storm should have exciting games during the upcoming
