Officials trying to identify fire victim
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and other officials were still trying to identify the body of a person found in a burning mobile home near County Road 3406, Chief Deputy Dan Parker said.
Henderson County Deputies Duane Sanders and Cliff Arnold responded to a house fire about 12 a.m. on Friday, where they discovered a body. Judge Sue Starnes ordered an autopsy, and the body was sent to Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
“We’re trying to get a positive identification on the body, but we’re having trouble with the dental records. We’re pretty sure it is who we were thinking it was.”
Parker said the Henderson County Fire Marshal’s Office is also investigating, but that he could not say what caused the fire.
