Brownsboro High School senior Ramey Day has been awarded the Retail Merchants Association Scholarship.

She plans to attend Tyler Junior College to study business management before applying to attend the Art Institute of Dallas.

Hoping to become a pastry chef, Day then plans to enroll at The University of Texas at Tyler to obtain a bachelors in business administration.

East Texas Communities Foundation is awarding over $145,000 in scholar- ships to high school and college students from East Texas for 2010.

Scholarship range from $5,000 to $500.
