I am so very weary of being alone.

I become so overwhelmed and exhausted

Attempting daily to meet all of the demands

(Made upon me in my varied roles)

By my little family of fatherless children.

Unfortunately, after surviving a series

Of life’s unexpected turn of events,

I find that my personal resources

Are nearly depleted,

And I find myself in the position

Of being intelligent enough to know

That I need someone to lean upon,

Someone to help me to carry this heavy load

Of the unceasing burden of four small children.

I need a helpmate in my life

Who will be willing to share my burdens.

And now I find myself in the position of asking

“Won’t you please reconsider the path

That you’ve chosen, and make a U-turn

And walk the road of life

That will lead you back to me and our family?
