James Dingler

Funeral services for James Edward Dingler, 64, of LaRue, were June 18, 2010, at First Assembly of God Church in Chandler, under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

The Rev. Mickey Ellis officiated.

Burial followed at New York Cemetery in LaRue.

Mr. Dingler died on June 15, 2010, in Dallas. He was born on July 6, 1945, in Athens.

Mr. Dingler was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and the LaRue area. He attended First Assembly of God Church and was a retired teacher with the Brownsboro Independent School District. Mr. Dingler served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mickie Dingler of LaRue; daughters, Melissa Boyd and husband, Chris, of Chandler, and Anne McIntyre and husband, Wade, of Brownsboro; brothers, Billy Dingler of Austin and Jimmy Dingler of LaRue; sisters, Nancy Snowden and husband, Stanley, of Hurst; grandchildren, Charlie Stringer, Chris Stringer, Taylor McIntyre, Madie McIntyre, Emma McIntyre, Jake Boyd, and Joey Boyd.

The grandchildren were honorary pallbearers.
