These ladies from the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades participated in the annual Bearettes basketball camp last week. Loyd Cook Photo The annual Bearettes basketball camp was held last week in the high school gymnasium.

Head basketball coach Fred Griffin was director of the camp, which he said had a large number of young ladies participating this year.

Griffin also said he appreciated the help of camp sponsors 1st State Bank of Brownsboro, Tommy Williams Drywall of Tyler, and the Brownsboro Independent School District in putting on this year’s camp.

It gave the participants a chance to practice skills and learn the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

9-and-under

In the 9-and-under division, the Hot Tamales team won first place in tournament play, followed by: Fire Bears, second; Hot Shots, third; and Mean Green, fourth.

The Hot Tamales were made up of: Madilynn Essary, Kaylee Passons, Tehya Adair, Madison Anderson, Peyton Ray, Maddie Bristow, Allylkatel Robertson, and Myanjulah Mosley.

The Hot Shots were made up of: Emily Burr, Jordan Chapman, Cami Wyatt, Maddie DeLa- Garza, Aubrey Kirkpatrick, Katelyn Estridge, Allie Cooper, and Riley Cawthon.

The Mean Green were made up of: Molly Fulgham, Skyla Murray, Shelby Rumbo, Maggie Shelton, Haley Settle, Hannah Shacklet, Rebecca Cawthon, and Tori Mobley.

10-and-11

In the 10-and-11 division, the Bearettes Blue squad took first place while the Bearettes Gold squad took second place.

The Bearettes Blue squad was made up of: Morgyn Fulgham, Paiton Mitchell, Karley Parker, Chelsea Foster, Abby Robertson, Jessica Griffi n, and Emilee Robeson.

The Bearettes Gold squad was made up of: Lindsey Edwards, Ami Stephenson, Chelsea Shelton, Autumn Graham, Emma McCoy, Mary Wittle, and Hannah Reeves.

12-14

The 12-14 division was won by the Bearettes Gold squad with the Bearettes Blue squad finishing in second place.

The Bearettes Gold squad was made up of: Devin Carver, Rebecca Rogers, Sarah Jo Tillie, Kylie Williams, Raven Bagley, Maddie Fulgham, Amanda Swofford, Baylee McCurley, and Kirstie Harris.

The Bearettes Blue squad was made up of: Shelby Bagby, Megan Gailey, Lanna Johnson, Nicole Adair, Jenny Delatorre, Katie Robertson, Macy Williams, Lexie Houston, and Breanna Adkins.
