CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Here’s some information concerning our booth and car show at the CityFest last Saturday. First, I want to give many thanks to some of our members who helped us.
Considering the weather, we had a nice crowd and got to advertise about our chamber and members. We had 20 cars at the car show. Seventeen cars paid the fee of $10 and we gave away three statues.
Raymond Sergeant won with the oldest car, a 1957 Pontiac. We also gave away two tickets to the show that night and a service from Errands by Kimberly. Bill Bass won that and gave the services to me. We made $170 on the car show and the City of Chandler paid for the DJ and statues.
If you did not come or help, you missed a blessing. The Bar-B-Q was also good and the pavilion in back, with tables and chairs, was an addition to the park.
I have already started renting booths for the Pow-Wow. Also, we have four new members waiting for plaques. I missed having a presentation this week, as paperwork and tiredness slowed me down. Next week will be busy, so you will hear from me.
