LIFE’S TRIALS
Life’s storms need not overwhelm you.
My friend, Bob, describes being enveloped by angels as he sat at the bedside of his wife, who had just past from this life into eternity. The presence of the glory of God overwhelmed him and gave him courage in his hour of need.
My son’s fiance lost her daughter and niece a year ago when a parole violator who was fleeing from the police struck them down as they were crossing the street.
Out of this tragedy has come support from a community, donations to many children’s organizations and acts of kindness in the name of the two beautiful girls who are in Heaven cheering on the saints with the Lord.
I went through betrayal and a divorce after 28 years of marriage. One Sunday in a church service, shortly after the break-up, someone sang the song, “People Need the Lord.”
I wept as I realized how badly we need the Lord (Mark 4) in our lives and committed my heart to telling those I come in contact with that Jesus loves them so much, and cares about their troubles.
