CHANDLER NURSING CENTER NEWS
January has been a busy month at the Chandler Nursing Center as several guests have made appearances to help brighten the lives of residents.
“We are sending out a ‘GREAT BIG’ thank you to our wonderful volunteers,” Gretta Uzzell said. “Rev. Copeland was here on the first to bring in a service for our residents and The Singing Cowboy (Paul Lucas) was here on the seventh.”
Uzzell said “Nellie Belmonte was here on the eighth to bring in a joyful sound, Rev. Samuel was here to bring a wonderful service for our residents and the Gideon's were back on the 15th with another wonderful service.”
The women from Westlake Baptist Church brought in “another fantastic” birthday party on the 18th while Rev. Loyd Uzzell conducted a service for the residents.
“Diane Kelder came back on the 19th with some more of that really good accordion music,” Uzzell said.
The Glad Timers made appearances on the 4th, 11th, and the 18th with lots of good music and The Gospel Friends appeared on the 21st bringing in a “fantastic” service.
“Missionary Ricky brought in another fantastic bingo game,” Uzzell said. “We appreciate each and everyone of our wonderful volunteers.”
Do you have a little extra time on your hands and have nothing to do?
“Well, we would like to invite you to join us here at the Chandler Nursing Center as a volunteer,” Uzzell said.

Chandler Nursing Center has five gently used walkers that have accumulated over time. “We would like to extend an offer to those in need of a walker in our community to stop by our rehab department and pick up a walker. There are only five available so it's first come, first serve,” Cherish Cooley said.
