Politics as usual – Spitzer under attack

I believe all Government Information belongs to the people and not the elites who would govern over us. But, the Texas Government Code 306.005 clearly states that “A person may not use audio or video materials produced by or under the direction of the legislature or of a house, committee, or agency of the legislature in political advertising.”

Isn’t it outrageous that the very words from the mouths of our elected officials could not be used to hold them accountable? I would like to challenge Dr. Spitzer to commit to repeal this law as one of his first acts in the legislature, and I would support his effort to do so. I will applaud him for not accepting the “status quo” when what we could have with a little courage and vision could be much better. Hang in there Dr. Spitzer. If they were not concerned about you they would not have their minions out attacking you.
