Brownsboro murder trial set

Danna Lynn Busby will stand trial for the murder of Wendell Harris this month. Danna Lynn Busby will stand trial for the murder of Wendell Harris this month. Danna Lynn Busby, in her mid-50s, will stand trial in Henderson County this month for the suspected murder of Wendell Harris of Brownsboro.

Henderson County District Attorney Mark Hall spoke with the Statesman via phone on Wednesday, March 1, and stated that the trial is scheduled for 9am on March 27. As for any particulars other than what was already released publicly, Hall couldn’t comment at this time.

Busby was charged with allegedly murdering Harris at his home on Moss Street in Brownsboro in March of 2016.

According to official reports, Busby went to the local police station and told an officer that she had shot Wendell Harris, and she still had the gun in her possession.

Harris was discovered by local authorities at his home just west of the Brownsboro City Hall, and east of the Brownsboro ISD administrative offices and high school football field.

Busby was indicted in June of 2016 for murder by the Henderson County Grand Jury. Judge Dan Moore of the 173rd District Court is scheduled to preside over the case.
