Patrick E. Mayes

Patrick E. Mayes of Chandler, TX passed away on August 30, 2017 to be with his Lord. Patrick loved people, he always enjoyed friends and family get-togethers. He enjoyed bowling, pool, riding his Harley Davidson and a cold beer or two.

Patrick was born to Patricia and Edwin Mayes in June of 1955 in Beardstown, Ill., where he lived and graduated from Beardstown High School. He moved to Texas in the early 1980s where he met Ava Coleen Tutor, whom he married in May of 1987.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 30 years and best friend, Ava Coleen Mayes, his sons Michael B. Mayes of Joaquin, TX, Edwin D. Mayes of Idabel, OK, Dustin P. Cantrell of Quincy, Ill., and daughter Chrystal L. Lynas of Tyler, TX. He also had 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his parents, Patricia and Edwin Mayes, two sisters, Julie Jordan and Kim Mundell and nephew Jesse Mayes and niece Lacy Wright of Decatur, Ill. He had so many other family, nephews and nieces who loved their Uncle Pat.

Patrick worked at MSM Trucking Company for 7 years. Trucking is a hard career, but MSM made it so much easier. He loved and respected his company family.

Please join his friends and family for his Special Memorial Service at the Chandler Community Center at: 811B Hwy 31 E., Chandler, TX 75758 on September 23, 2017 at 2:00pm to celebrate his life. Anybody and everybody is welcome to speak on behalf of him or tell a story that holds great memories of the time he spent with us. Refreshments will be available.
