Caregivers Supporting Caregivers of Malakoff meet every second Tuesday at 6:30pm and every second Thursday at 12:30pm at 1611 W. Royall Blvd in Malakoff at Cedar Lake Nursing Home. For more information contact Myria at 903-489-4413. In case of bad weather, please call ahead to see if meeting has been cancelled.

Faith Baptist Church Brownsboro will begin holding a Senior lunch free of charge every Tuesday at 11am.

First Baptist Church Murchison, 9623 FM 773, Food Pantry every 2nd Saturday of the month; 9am - 12pm.

Saturdays, Rock Hill Baptist Church offers a contemporary worship service at 5pm, Saturdays at the main campus at 20022 SH 31 East in Brownsboro. Call 903-852-6711 for more information.

Sundays, Rock Hill Baptist Church offers a traditional worship service at 8:30 am, a contemporary worship at 10am and evening worship at 6:30pm on the main campus at 20022 SH 31 East. Stomp Parkinson’s Disease for A Cure will meet the second Thursday of each month at 1pm at Arabella, 413 Gibson Road in Athens. For more information please contact Jean Everett at 903-681-4167.

Friendly games of 42 and 84 (dominoes) and mahjong are being played Tuesdays at 1:30 om at the Heritage Hall at the First United Methodist Church. Beginners are welcome.

St. Boniface Catholic Church of Chandler at 318 S. Broad St. will hold Faith Formation Classes (CCD) for adults every Tuesday night at 6pm. Please come join us. Children’s Faith Formation Classes (CCD) are held every Wednesday night at 6pm. St. Boniface is also offering a 24 week course on The Great Adventure bible study. Sign up in the community room at the church.

October 31

Chandler FUMC will be having the annual Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 6-8pm at the Family Life Center on Hwy 31. There will be free food and drink, bounce house and games, and lots of candy. The newly opened Anchor Academy will be open during these hours to tour and register infants and children for childcare.

November 1

All Saints Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be a bilingual Mass at 6pm at St. Boniface Catholic Church of Chandler.

November 3

Brownsboro Pioneers Day. Normally held the second Saturday in November, the Brownsboro Pioneers Day Festival has moved to Nov. 4 this year. Parade, booths, live entertainment. For more information on the Pioneers Day Festival contact the Brownsboro Area Chamber of Commerce at 903-852-6761.

November 4

St. Boniface Catholic Church of Chandler will hold the Children’s Fall Festival from 6-8pm. All Children are encouraged to dress as their favorite saint.

November 15

Kim Campbell, wife of the legendary singer Glen Campbell, has an intimate understanding of the complex challenges faced by people living with dementia and their families. She will be the keynote speaker at the sixth annual Butterfly Hope Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 7pm at Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler. A limited number of individual tickets are available. December 2

Brownsboro Young Farmers annual Chili Supper and Auction at 6pm on December 2. The organization is selling raffle tickets for a Winchester 26 Gun Safe with a mystery gun valued at $1200.
