Caregivers Supporting Caregivers of Malakoff meet every second Tuesday at 6:30pm and every second Thursday at 12:30pm at 1611 W. Royall Blvd in Malakoff at Cedar Lake Nursing Home. Faith Baptist Church Brownsboro will begin holding a Senior lunch free of charge every Tuesday at 11am.

Saturdays, Rock Hill Baptist Church offers a contemporary worship service at 5pm, Saturdays at the main campus at 20022 SH 31 East in Brownsboro. Call 903-852-6711 for more information.

Sundays, Rock Hill Baptist Church offers a traditional worship service at 8:30 am, a contemporary worship at 10am and evening worship at 6:30pm on the main campus at 20022 SH 31 East. St. Boniface Catholic Church of Chandler at 318 S. Broad St. will hold Faith Formation Classes (CCD) for adults every Tuesday night at 6pm. Please come join us. Children’s Faith Formation Classes (CCD) are held every Wednesday night at 6pm. St. Boniface is also offering a 24 week course on The Great Adventure bible study. Sign up in the community room at the church.

Saturdays, St. Boniface Catholic Church offers a Vigil Mass at 5pm. Saturday at the Church located at 318 South Broad St. in Chandler. All are welcome.

November 7

St. Boniface Catholic Church will hold a class teaching the Ten Commandments and will teach an in-depth study of the Fourth Commandment (Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land which your Lord God gives you) in the Adult Faith Formation class on Tuesday at 6pm.

November 10-11

First United Methodist Church in Athens, 225 Lovers Lane, will have their Annual Holiday Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 10 from 10am-6pm and Saturday, Nov. 11, 9:30am - 2:30pm. The Bazaar will feature special handcrafted, painted wood decorations, Fall and Christmas specialties, fabric items, jewelry and a wide variety of floral arrangements. The “Second Time Around” table is a true treasure hunt. Bake Sale will have the “best goodies” which will compliment your holiday entertaining. The raffle will have 3 drawings/3 prizes. The Chandler Historical Society’s annual Souper Supper will be Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Chandler Community Center. Serving will begin at 5pm. All veterans will eat free and be given a gift provided by Ace Chandler Hardware. A patriotic program presented by Dance 433 will begin at 7pm.

November 10-11

Edom Civic Theatre presents “Till Beth Do Us Part” November 10-11. Directed by Lee Shults. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7pm. In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, Career-driven Suzannah Hayden needs a lot more help on the home front than she’s getting from her husband, Gibby. Enter Beth Bailey, Suzannah’s newly-hired assistant, a gregarious, highly-motivated daughter of the South, who explodes into the Hayden household and whips it into an

See the story of how Peter Pan, Wendy, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook and the Lost Boys came to be the story we all know and love. $5 for students/Sr. adults 50+; $10 for adults; Free BISD Faculty. November 14

Mrs Patricia Keys again be teaching the Adult Formation Class at 6pm at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chandler. She will be teaching Commandment # 5 of the Ten Commandments., “You shall not kill (murder).” This is a very timely topic of discussion in lieu of the recent murder in Henderson County of two children by their mother. This commandment prohibits the killing of innocent persons and demands respect for human life. Join us to learn the full meaning of this commandment. Every one is invited to the mass and the fellowship of a meal proceeding the class.

November 15

Kim Campbell, wife of the legendary singer Glen Campbell, has an intimate understanding of the complex challenges faced by people living with dementia and their families. She will be the keynote speaker at the sixth annual Butterfly Hope Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 7pm at Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler. A limited number of individual tickets are available. Benefit Riders of East Texas presents the 2nd Annual Toy Run on Saturday, Nov. 18 at The Shed in Edom. Registration is 9-11; Scenic ride will end at Ramsey’s Roadhouse, Wills Point. $15 per person and bring an unwrapped toy or gift card. November 25

Santa’s making an early visit to Chandler on Saturday, November 25, to recognize Small Business Saturday, and to give children a head start on their Christmas planning. This year he will stop at Chandler Feed and Seed Country Store located on Main Street between 10:15-1:00pm. Breakfast and a Story with Santa will start at 10:30 AM and end at 11:15. Space for this event is limited so call the Chandler Public Library at 903-849-4122 for reservations. Santa will be available for visits and photos from 11:15-1:00 PM. Both events are free and all children are invited. The Chandler Public Library, Chandler Historical Society and Chandler Feed and Seed Country Store sponsor this annual activity. Special thanks this year to Wade’s for providing extra space for Santa.

December 2

Brownsboro Young Farmers annual Chili Supper and Auction at 6pm on December 2. The organization is selling raffle tickets for a Winchester 26 Gun Safe with a mystery gun valued at $1200.
