Caregivers Supporting Caregivers of Malakoff meet every second Tuesday at 6:30pm and every second Thursday at 12:30pm at 1611 W. Royall Blvd in Malakoff at Cedar Lake Nursing Home. Faith Baptist Church Brownsboro will begin holding a Senior lunch free of charge every Tuesday at 11am.

Stomp Parkinson’s Disease for A Cure will meet the second Thursday of each month at 1pm at Arabella, 413 Gibson Road in Athens. For more information please contact Jean Everett at 903-681-4167.

Friendly games of 42 and 84 (dominoes) and mahjong are being played Tuesdays at 1:30 om at the Heritage Hall at the First United Methodist Church. Beginners are welcome.

St. Boniface Catholic Church of Chandler at 318 S. Broad St. will hold Faith Formation Classes (CCD) for adults every Tuesday night at 6pm. Please come join us. Children’s Faith Formation Classes (CCD) are held every Wednesday night at 6pm. St. Boniface is also offering a 24 week course on The Great Adventure bible study. Sign up in the community room at the church.

November 16

There will be an Alter Society Meeting Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chandler. The meeting will begin at 6:30 with refreshments and the meeting will begin a 7pm. All ladies are invited to attend.

November 18

Benefit Riders of East Texas presents the 2nd Annual Toy Run on Saturday, Nov. 18 at The Shed in Edom. Registration is 9-11; Scenic ride will

end at Ramsey’s Roadhouse, Wills Point. $15 per person and bring an unwrapped toy or gift card. Prizes for most festively decorated bike, raffle and door prizes. See benefitridersofeasttexas.com for more info.

November 19

Youth, 7-12 Grades from St. Boniface Catholic Church will be participating in a community service project. The youth participating will meet at the church at 9:30am and return around 4:30pm. Mass and a lunch will be held prior to leaving the church.

November 21

At the Adult Formation class of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Mrs. Patricia Key will be guiding the class in the study of the 6th Commandment; “You shall not commit adultery.” In today’s society this is a very worthwhile topic of discussion for all ages. Parents are invited to bring their children.

November 25

Santa’s making an early visit to Chandler on Saturday, November 25, to recognize Small Business Saturday, and to give children a head start on their Christmas planning. This year he will stop at Chandler Feed and Seed Country Store located on Main Street between 10:15-1:00pm. Breakfast and a Story with Santa will start at 10:30 AM and end at 11:15. Space for this event is limited so call the Chandler Public Library at 903-849-4122 for reservations. Santa will be available for visits and photos from 11:15-1:00 PM. Both events are free and all children are invited. The Chandler Public Library, Chandler Historical Society and Chandler Feed and Seed Country Store sponsor this annual activity. Special thanks this year to Wade’s for providing extra space for Santa.

December 2

Brownsboro Young Farmers annual Chili Supper and Auction at 6pm on December 2. The organization is selling raffle tickets for a Winchester 26 Gun Safe with a mystery gun valued at $1200.
