Saturdays, Rock Hill Baptist Church offers a contemporary worship service at 5pm, Saturdays at the main campus at 20022 SH 31 East in Brownsboro. Call 903-852-6711 for more information.

Stomp Parkinson’s Disease for A Cure will meet the second Thursday of each month at 1pm at Arabella, 413 Gibson Road in Athens. For more information please contact Jean Everett at 903-681-4167.

Friendly games of 42 and 84 (dominoes) and mahjong are being played Tuesdays at 1:30 om at the Heritage Hall at the First United Methodist Church. Beginners are welcome.

St. Boniface Catholic Church

St. Boniface Catholic Church of Chandler at 318 S. Broad St. will hold Faith Formation Classes (CCD) for adults every Tuesday night at 6pm. Children’s Faith Formation Classes (CCD) are held every Wednesday night at 6pm.

Jr. High and High School Youth classes are about start with Father Paul on Wednesday evenings during CCD Class. Discussions will include dating and understanding our sexuality using the book, “How to find your soulmate without losing your soul.” Please encourage your student to joins these classes. Parents are also encouraged to come.

Saturdays, St. Boniface Catholic Church offers a Vigil Mass at 5pm. Saturday at the Church located at 318 South Broad St. in Chandler. All are welcome.

Sunday, St. Boniface Catholic Church offers an English Mass at 9:30am and a Spanish Mass at 12:00 at the Church located at 318 South Broad St. in Chandler. Call 903.849.3234. All are welcome to come worship with us.

The Great Adventure Class, a comprehensive study of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, showing the relationship of the Old Testament to the New. Classes are held at 6:30pm each Tuesday evening. Classes are for children and adults.

St. Boniface Catholic Church is beginning to develop a St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) style social-service. This is in cooperation with the SVdP Society in Athens. If you would like to help or if you know anyone who needs assistance, please contact Robert Fletcher (903- 515-1028) or Father Paul Key.

St. Boniface Catholic Church is becoming a Stewardship Parish. If you have TIME (primarily to do with prayer and service, TALENT (has to do with our abilities, both natural and acquired) and TREASURE (responsible management of our possessions and our money, especially in order to help others) then you too can become a Christian steward. Please come and join us in this endeavor.

Athens Housing Authority waiting list will reopen on April 2, 2018 thru May 31, 2018 at 805 North Palestine, Athens. Applications will be taken during office hours Monday- Thursday 9am-1pm.

CASA of Trinity Valley invites those interested in volunteering to apply for the nonprofit’s next set of training classes, set for May 5, 12 & 19. Each class runs from 9am-2:30pm, the location to be determined. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check. Country music singer Shooter Jennings (son of Country great, Waylon Jennings) will be performing at Moore’s Store in Ben Wheeler on May 18. Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. August 11

The Brownsboro High School Class of 1968 has begun planning their 50th Class Reunion. Please SAVE THIS DATE if you are a member of this class. The Reunion is set for Saturday, August 11, 2018; 2pm-6pm; Brownsboro Junior High Cafeteria. Although the main focus of the reunion will be on the Class of 1968, anyone who attended Brownsboro schools will be welcome to attend but making a reservation through Brenda Robertson.
