Austin Derrick Fout

Services for Austin Derrick Fout, 20, of Brownsboro, were scheduled for Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 4pm at Rock Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Welch and Rev. Danny Bristow officiating. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Austin Derrick Fout was born on August 24, 1998 in Tyler. Austin’s favorite past times were spent outdoors, whether it was baseball, football, playing golf with his dad, or hunting anything that was in season.

Austin was an all-around athlete playing both varsity football and baseball all four years of high school. Austin’s love for sports started at the age of 4 and many great memories have been made “on the field.” His mischievous grin and knack for telling jokes kept everyone who knew him laughing. With Austin there was never a dull moment. He made football and baseball practice more enjoyable with his fun-loving antics. He was a leader and a mentor on and off the field as well as a role model to the younger kids who looked up to him. Even when the team would be down a few runs, he would hit one of his famous “dingers” and fire up the guys to come back and win the game.

If Austin wasn’t playing sports, he was spending time with friends. Whether it was a duck blind, deer stand, a field of dove or a riverbank, Austin loved to be out enjoying nature — hunting whatever happened to be in season.

Where ever he was or whatever he was doing his smile was contagious and affected everyone around him. Austin never met a stranger and would always greet you with a BIG bear hug. Austin was the kind of kid who was always there whether it was to fix a fence, mow your yard, or just help out, no questions asked.

The love Austin had for his family and friends was something that was never a question. His H&P Rig 507 crew were his second family away from home. Many days you could find Austin at the donut shop sitting with his Papa shooting the breeze with the men. Austin will always live in the hearts of those who loved him.
